About The Arc
Who is the Arc of Pearl River County?
The Arc of Pearl River is a non profit, established in Picayune in 1978.
The Arc promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD) and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.
Unlike other chapters, the Pearl River county chapter has no paid employees. All work is 100% volunteer basis. We're also the only community based non-profit working for people with ID/DD throughout their lifetimes and across all diagnoses - from Autism to Down Syndrome to Fragile X and more than 100 other developmental disabilities.
Currently we provide services to nearly 200 members in the community including Pearl River and Hancock county.
